G3 – 1703m – Turf
| Arod | Led from gate to wire to win this back in 2015. Has spent time in Australia since then but struggled to recapture winning form until his most recent start back in the UK with another front-running display in Listed company at Windsor. Still very useful when he can boss. Fast ground suits best. |
| Breton Rock | Usually very consistent and can successfully compete at a high level especially when the ground is good or softer. He produced a terrific last-to-first burst to land a 50-1 shock in a G2 at Goodwood (1400m) last August. Not seen since last October but he’s run well off a break before. |
| Century Dream | Has won six of his 12 starts, and struck yet again last time when racing on his own at Ascot and proving just too strong for his six rivals in a 1600m Listed contest. Chances if he handles Epsom on his first visit here, whilst slow ground would also be a big help. |
| Crazy Horse | Not many horses improve after leaving John Gosden’s stable but the figures suggest he ran up to his best when a close second in a Listed race over Ascot’s straight 1600m last time, especially good as the winner carried him right late on. Looks best on slow ground. |
| Gabrial | This veteran is an eight times winner but he has also been beaten in all his last 28 starts. However he did almost win this last year with a powerful surge down the outside, only beaten a neck by Sovereign Debt. A late closer who is still useful judging by good efforts on his last two starts. |
| Love Dreams | His only previous start in Group company was not a success but he is having a good season and posted a career best with a front-running success in a 1400m Goodwood handicap last time. This is a bit more demanding but he’s in with a shout. |
| Sovereign Debt | Not many horses are at their best at eight but that is what happened to Sovereign Debut in 2017, his wins including victory in this race when he kept responding to his rider’s urgings. However his two starts this season have both been disappointing. |
| True Valour | Though failing to land the gamble he certainly seemed to handle this track when third in a 1400m Listed event at this meeting last year. He looked set for a rewarding 2018 when third in a G3 at Leopardstown last month. Tough and tactically versatile. Good ground is ideal. |
