| 2 | Cliffs Of Moher | A G2 winner who makes a quick reappearance three days after his 11L fourth to Poet’s Word in a shorter G1 here on Wednesday. Runner-up in last year’s Derby at Epsom over this distance which may perhaps help this classy colt here. |
| 3 | Crystal Ocean | Sure to start favourite to give his trainer an 11th win in this. Seems to be getting better and better and is unbeaten in two starts this year, dazzling with a G3 Newbury win on fast ground over around this distance last time. Tends to sit near the speed. |
| 4 | Idaho | Won this last year and showed that he has retained his ability when winning comfortably on his 2018 UK reappearance in a G3 over further than this at Chester. He then flopped in a G1 at Epsom but still must be respected. Tactically versatile. |

| 6 | Red Verdon | A five-times winner who is surprisingly running at Ascot for the first time. In good form this season and placed in a G2 (Newmarket) and a G3 (Sandown) on his last two starts but on ratings has something to find and may need slow ground. |
