1200m – Turf

1

Cuban Slide

From a stable who have great success with 2yos but Cuban Slide, though winning on his career debut, has become very disappointing.

2

Zoulu Chief

One of the main contenders, given his progressive profile and winning attitude. Triumphant in handicaps over this trip on his last two starts, leading from gate to wire each time. Fast ground suits.

3

Commander Crouch

Has had a busy first season, this being his tenth start. Only win so far came on the all-weather over further than this. This stable did well in these races, but his profile is not positive for this challenge.

4

Midnite Runner

A modest first start was followed up by a much improved performance with an authoritative victory over 1400m at Thirsk. Drops in trip for this more difficult task but still deserves some respect.

5

Darroch

From a stable that have won this before with an outsider. He will be an outsider also, judging by modest performances in three starts so far.

6

Great Acclaim

Beaten over 7l in both starts so far but did show some promise – albeit on heavy ground – when fourth in a 1200m maiden at Newbury last month.

7

Habrdi

Clearly showing plenty at home as he was made favourite for his debut in July. Showed some promise then but didn’t build on that the following month. May progress with experience.

8

Rich Glory

Showed plenty of speed to win on fast ground over a similar trip to this on his second start. Penalised for that so carrying top weight at Carlisle subsequently, running a decent fourth. Possibilities.

9

Beenham

A beaten favourite at Wolverhampton on her last two starts. Better form earlier – including a Goodwood win in May – but may be best on a slower surface than likely for this.

10

Woodhay Wonder

Winner of two of her four starts with race-by-race improvement. She swooped from the back to win a similar race to this – on fast ground over this trip on Newmarket’s July Course last time. Chance.

11

Drama

Won over a similar trip to this on his second career start – at Windsor. Led in a similar event to this on Newmarket’s July Course subsequently but faded out.

12

Dubai Hills

Yet to win though came close at Windsor in August and ran a solid fourth of 15 in a similar event to this on fast ground at Newmarket’s July Course in August.

13

Invincible Aura

Best career run so far came when back down to this trip and on his handicap debut, at Pontefract late last month – only just beaten by a dual previous winner with the first two clear.

14

Lieutenant Rascal

Running consistently well at a lowly level, leading throughout to win a maiden at Brighton on his penultimate start. Would probably have also won but for hanging left at Wolverhampton last time.

15

Elderflower

Will try to win this on her debut run, no easy task. Bred to be speedy.

16

Alfa Moonstone

Led throughout to win a 1000m maiden at Catterick back in May. However her subsequent efforts do not offer much hope for victory here.

17

Majorelle Blue

An outsider for her debut – over this trip at Chelmsford last month. Slow from the gates but she did make a little late progress but much more needed here.

18

Yeulan

Very little impact on any of her three starts.

19

Blenheim Star

Doing some good late work when a close fourth on her debut but didn’t build on that on a subsequent run. Down in trip and on grass for the first time. Hard to fancy.

20

Caradonna

No promise shown on her only start.

21

Grey Gray

A busy filly with a good win and place record at a low level.  However, she was disappointing on her last start and so far has looked better at around 1000m than this 1200m trip.

22

Priscilla’s Joy

No promise shown in two starts.
