G3 – 1351m – Turf

1

Bathrat Leon

Has performed well outside of Japan especially when winning a 1600m G2 on the Meydan dirt last year. Solid form on turf also even if a slightly longer trip may be ideal.

2

Casa Creed

His exciting late surge only just failed to win this last year. Back home in the US he won two G1’s seeming to thrive on very quick ground. Definite chances.

3

Garrus

Has proved especially effective over the straight track at Deauville, twice winning G3’s there. Comes back from a break but proven capable after an absence.

4

Lauda Sion

This Japanese-trained raider looked menacing on the bend in this last year, but couldn’t finish off quick enough, finishing fourth. Best at this trip and on a quick surface.

5

Lusail

His four wins came early in his career, including 1200m G2 wins at Newmarket and York. Some near misses at G1 level since also display how good he can be.

6

Pogo

Eight career wins all came at home in the UK but some decent overseas efforts include when fifth in this last year, racing prominently and battling on to the end.

7

Raaed

Had just fair form in the UK, not good enough for this level. But, now locally trained, encouragement is gained from his easy course and distance success last month.

8

Rozgar

Achieved a decent rating when trained in France last year with a Listed victory at Chantilly and a close sixth in a 1400m G1 at Deauville.

9

Happy Romance

In terrific form at this time last year, a strong finishing third in this before second of 16 in a 1200m G1 at Meydan. His form then tailed off but the break may have freshened him up.

10

Resistencia

Occasionally has delivered high class efforts at up to 1600m in Japan. But best known for her close second in the 2021 LONGINES Hong Kong Sprint at Sha Tin. Faded out in the same G1 in December.

11

Songline

Gained a thrilling win in this last year under a brilliant ride from Christophe Lemaire. Has won a 1600m G1 in Tokyo since then, and no surprise that this valuable prize is again on agenda.
