G1 – 1300m – Turf

Accakaba

No trip worries, having won a 1400m G2 here last year. A fast-finishing fourth in a 1400m Deauville G1 last month.

Amilcar

Quickened nicely to win a 1400m G3 at Longchamp in June, a career best. This 1300m may prove shorter than preferable against this strong opposition.

Artorius

High class Australian colt, who has winning form over this specialist trip and has put in two really good UK performances, latterly a close third in a Newmarket G1. A closer.

Garrus

This UK challenger is unbeaten in two Deauville starts – both at 1200m – latterly when finishing strongly to win a G3 last month. This slightly longer trip may be an issue.

Harry Three

Won last three starts, moving from handicap to listed company when finishing fast and drawing clear over 1200m here last month. May handle another rise in class.

Highfield Princess

High class winning form over both 1200 and 1400m. A G2 York winner in May, and showed herself worthy of competing in G1’s when close up at Royal Ascot.

King Hermes

Japanese trained. Did not make much impact in a Newmarket G1 on his European debut.

Kingentleman

Has had a break since posting a career best effort, winning a 1200m G3 at Chantilly in May. This is a much stronger contest.

Minzaal

Yet to race this far but can look very good when at the top of his game as he was when winning a 1200m fast ground G3 at Newbury last month.

Miramar

Best run was 1100m G3 victory at Chantilly in April, and not disgraced at huge odds when fifth of 20 in a Royal Ascot G1. More improvement needed.

Namos

Has thrice won 1200m G3’s at Baden-Baden.  Not beaten far when finishing well in a Longchamp G3 last time but others look preferred.

Naval Crown

Unfancied in the betting but still beat 23 rivals in a fast-ground Royal Ascot G1. Another terrific G1 effort when second at Newmarket last month.

Perfect Power

Delivers a power-packed finish. Has won six of ten starts, with his G1 wins including over 1200m here last year. Perhaps ground too fast last time.

Rohaan

Can deliver sensational late surges as he showed again under a big weight at Royal Ascot in June. Has also won G3 and G2 level. Versatile regarding surface.
