The winner of one of Madrid’s most valuable races – over 2500m – in June, previously having finished a close second at Longchamp. Consistent, and tries hard.

Equinoxe

No stamina issues as he has winning form over this trip. A Fontainebleau winner on his 2022 debut, and a respectable fourth at Longchamp last time.

Big Call

Supplemented for this, he is a consistent gelding with plenty of good performances this season, though this will be his first attempt at this trip. A close third in a decent event in Madrid last time.

Mediterranea Blues

Quite consistent at a lower level to this – mostly seen in handicap and claiming company. At least he arrives here off a win – a defeat of ten rivals at Clairefontaine last month.

Tides Of War

Has won two of his seven starts, and may well have a class edge over most of these rivals. Placed in G3 and G2 company over this trip at Longchamp last year. Likely to be sharper for his 2022 return at Compiegne.

Plenty of victories for this seven-year-old, but they have come at a lower level – plus he is not yet proven at this trip.

Currently in good shape, accelerating to win a Listed event at Baden-Baden and a good second at Hamburg subsequently. But needs to prove himself at this trip – not sure on pedigree.

Has been supplemented into this field. May be best suited to slow ground judging by her Listed victory at Saint Cloud last October. Ran a good third at Longchamp in June. Up in trip.

Looks to have good claims here, having competed well at a higher level than this plus looking happy at this trip. Finished strongly when only narrowly beaten in a Longchamp G2 in May.
