G3 – 1200m – Turf
1 |
Breege |
Easily beat a subsequent winner on her debut, but beaten at Pontefract as a hot favourite when racing too keenly. She’s fast but will need to settle better here. |
2 |
Cuban Mistress |
Although no match for an easy winner she finished well ahead of four other young speedsters in Listed company at Sandown this month. Bred for pure speed, and will need to stay 1200m. |
3 |
Glenlaurel |
Slowly away on her debut but easily made up the ground in the latter part of the race and was a decisive winner of that novices’ event at Thirsk last month. |
4 |
Kinta |
Has won both her starts, each over this trip but on all-weather surfaces. Different tactics each time, making all the running at Kempton earlier this month. |
5 |
Lezoo |
Facts and figures suggest that she has strong chances here. Won her first two starts and then narrowly beaten in a G2 at Newmarket despite racing too keenly and being carried left. |
6 |
Minnetonka |
Completely outspeeded her rivals from the front on her debut, at Salisbury. Started favourite to win a Listed event at Newmarket subsequently but could never get near the lead. |
7 |
Omniqueen |
Won a 1000m maiden on her debut here, but that was a weak event by Ascot standards. Not disgraced back here in a G2 at Royal Ascot considering she had in-running problems. |
8 |
Palm Lily |
An expensive purchase who is bred to be fast. Starting favourite, she had no difficulty winning at Kempton on her debut. Clearly smart, though the form of that race hasn’t looked strong. |
9 |
Royal Charter |
An expensive purchase who looked classy in the paddock prior to her first run, coming from off the speed to win a 1200m maiden at Newmarket last month. |
