The Hong Kong Jockey Club will simulcast for betting seven races from the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes Day meeting at Ascot Racecourse in England on Saturday, 23 July (first race 8.50pm Hong Kong time).
The King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes (G1, 2392m for 3yo+) was established in 1951 to mark the Festival of Britain, a national exhibition celebrated with innovative exhibitions and shows. The race had firmly established itself as the mid-summer showpiece of European racing.
Many of racing’s biggest names have won the race, including the legendary Italian champion Ribot (1956), the immensely talented but ill-fated Shergar (1981), the late Galileo (2001) and the exceptional Enable (2017, 2019, 2020).
