1600m – Turf

1

So Hi Class

A proven miler, with five wins at the trip while he also boasts four wins and three thirds at the track and distance, and his narrow last-start defeat into second suggests he’s trending in the right direction.

2

Savvy Command

Races first-up off a 57-day break and he has been fair this season with a few placings from five starts. A win would surprise but he’s not without place claims.

3

Leatherhead

Races on the 8-day back up and will be far better suited back to the mile from 2000m but, generally, his best form is on the Polytrack.

4

Tangible

He had excuses last start when racing wide throughout so you can forget that run and go on previous consistent form. Based on that, he looks a strong winning chance here.

5

Gold Strike

He has slid down the ratings after not winning for 1092 days and he has placed just once from four starts this season.

6

Luck Of Master

Winner of his last two starts but over further ground while they were also down in grade in Class 4. He returns to the races first-up off a 155-day spell and the betting market could be a good guide.

7

Ironchamp

He looks like the clear leader in this race and although better performed over 1400m, his 1600m record is sound. If he’s afforded soft early splits, he can make all in the run.

8

Happy Moment

Completely unknown over the mile as this is his first try over the distance. He also performs better on the Polytrack and this looks an uphill task here.

9

Cheval Blanc

Rises to Class 3 for the first time first-up off a 64-day break after he won well over this distance but on the Polytrack last time. There are a few things against him here and he might need it easier.

10

Street Cry Success

His Class 3 record of 11 starts for naught speaks for itself and one would think he’s looking for Class 4.
