1600m – Turf

Clean Sweep Filly moving up in class after romping to win over Tokyo mile last out late November. First start of year. Unruly before race but serious under way. Shadow roll helped last start. Promising.
Gandalf Consistent colt moving up in class after winning over Nakayama mile in early March. Has second in Tokyo mile as well. Versatile, excellent late speed. Shadow roll helped last out. Has promise.
Gulab Posted 8-8 in two starts this year, both over mile. Has two wins over Tokyo 1400m and showing improvement but may come up short in this lineup.
Ho O Las Cases Deep Impact filly with decent showing in G3 has three wins over mile at lower level. Returning after 3 months following fifth over Tokyo mile with poor break and difficult trip. Looking good in work.
Justin Cafe Colt raced primarily over mile moving up in class after win over Hanshin mile mid March. Has made top three in all but one start. Second time at Tokyo but track direction not a concern. Very assertive and has talent, but still immature with much to learn. Shadow roll last out helped.
Kanumera Beach Returning after nearly a year. 4-14 in last two starts (both over 7 furlongs) since moving to this level. Has had regular work. Won debut over Tokyo mile. Wild card.
Land Of Liberty 8th in NHK Mile Cup last year, colt has best a third (in Tokyo mile) from four starts at this level. Has had furlong less in two recent starts and extra distance a plus. May be lacking amid this field, however.
Lupercalia Difficult Maurice colt usually raced at 1800m or up being given first mile. Has 4-2-7 in three graded stakes race experience. Is prepped with last run mid March. First time at Tokyo. Has trouble settling. Venue, distance will likely suit.
North The World Deep Impact colt moving up in class after a win over the Hanshin 1800m. Has been racing at 9 furlongs and up but should translate well to demanding Tokyo mile.  Better at the break than before. Excellent late speed. Promising.
Osiris Brain Moving up in class. Raced from late 2020 in sprints with some success, but has won over mile, including at Tokyo. First start in 3 months. Looking good in trackwork.
P M Pinko Mare raced primarily over the mile, returned after 9 months off with poor result at Chukyo. Not showing improvement in work. Won over Tokyo mile a year ago but step up in class may be tough.
Phrase d’Armes Filly recorded 2-4 in two starts at this level, both over Hanshin mile. Hampered a bit in stretch last out. First time at Tokyo but has had success racing to left. With haul east, condition on raceday key.
Rickenbacker Fourth in 2021 NHK Mile Cup. Has come close in last three starts, all over mile with best second at Tokyo. Sixth last out in unfavorable trip at Nakayama late February. Move to spacious Tokyo a plus. Definitely worth a wager.
Win Charlotte Mile specialist on target for win in second start at this level. Highly consistent, versatile filly just off a second over Nakayama mile but will shoulder heaviest weight yet. Return to Tokyo a plus. Looking good in morning work. Prefers fast track.
Win Refinado An honest runner with best a fifth in 10 starts at this level. Two of his three wins have come to left, but recent form lacking. Could make money with right trip.
Yukino Pharaoh Colt moving up in class after win over Nakayama mile end March. Excellent late speed and showed new maturity with good solid run and rider communication. Worth a wager.
