Simulcast and betting arrangements for Met Day World Pool on offer

HKJC Horse Race Betting Limited will simulcast eight races of Met Day from Kenilworth Racecourse in South Africa on Saturday, 29 January. Bets will be accepted* for these races. Two Double Trio pools will be offered and a jackpot of $228,462 is carried forward to the 1st Double Trio pool of Met Day.


Besides, World Pool will be offered (Win, Place, Quinella and Quinella Place) to ensure a maximum liquidity for racegoers.


Race times and betting pools
The simulcast races of the Met Day are scheduled as S1-4 to S1-11, and are due to start at 7:50 pm on 29 January. Details of the post time and betting pools are:

– Four Place dividends will be offered for overseas races with 21 or more declared starters at the commencement of selling
– All Up as well as Cross Pool All Up bets are available for S1-4 to S1-11, but cannot mixed with local races
– Rebates are not available on any bets placed on overseas races
– If there is no winner of the Double Trio, the jackpot generated will be carried forward to Dubai Super Saturday on 5 March
– The final betting pool arrangement is subject to the Club’s final announcement


Broadcast arrangements 
Simulcast races will be broadcast on TV and radio. Customers can also review the overseas races at www.racing.hkjc.com one hour after each race has finished.

“S1” must be indicated for overseas race bets 
Customers betting through Interactive Services** on overseas races should mark the “S1 box” and race number as required by the Interactive Services interfaces. Those using the 1886 Telebet Automated Services should input “overseas race” and the race number, respectively.


If “S1” or “Overseas race” are not indicated as required, any bets placed will be accepted as bets for the corresponding local race.


Odds and starter information for overseas races 
The odds and starter information for overseas races will be available via Interactive Services, and on the Odds and Information Hotline 1835888.


Ticket sales arrangement for the overseas races 
Ticket sales for Met Day will be available from noon on Friday, 28 January. (Subject to further announcement by the Club)
