G2 – 2800m – Turf

An eight-time winner who came back to form with a victory in the G3 Chairman’s Cup over 2500m. Is now 7lbs better off with runner-up One Way Traffic. Big runner.

Crome Yellow

Fifth last year but had excuses. Won the G3 Cape Summer Stayers over 2500m with many of these rivals behind him. Now better weighted with all of them and will go close.

Had a nice warm-up run over 1600m but looks held by Crome Yellow on the Cape Summer Stayers form. Will definitely see out the trip and could well place.

Anse Lazio

Won two races over 2400m in Durban but will have to show improvement if he is to turn it around with Crome Yellow, who beat him 5.55L and is 5lbs better off.

Sudden Star

Seemed to be tiring late when third to Doublemint last time. Now going an extra 300m and is 10lbs worse off with his conqueror.

Holy Warrior

Well held by Crome Yellow and Doublemint in two recent starts. Looks an unlikely winner.

One Way Traffic

Although held on form he is an improving stayer and was strongly fancied last time when going down 0.3L to Doublemint. Now 7lbs worse off but not without a chance.

Finished third last year but her recent form has not been that inspiring. However, did have a good warm-up over 2000m last time out and if produces her best, could place again.

Sparkling Water

This is trainer Mike de Kock’s only runner at the meeting and she is turning into a top stayer. She is well weighted, will see out the trip and is the runner to beat.
