G1 – 2392m – Turf
1 |
Albaflora |
Although only at Listed level it is encouraging that her career best effort came over this course and distance – romping to a 7L victory here in May. Some smart efforts since. |
2 |
Tribal Craft |
A strong-galloping and tough mare who is best suited to slow ground. The ground was probably too quick on her last two starts. Stays further than this and will want a swift gallop. |
3 |
Eshaada |
This big strong filly has only raced four times, nearly winning a G2 over this course and distance in June, despite racing too freely and having a wide trip. A dismal run last time needs forgetting. |
4 |
Invite |
Disappointed as favourite for a G2 in Italy but then ran a clear career best on her first start for this stable when putting in a quality winning performance at Chester last month. |
5 |
Lady Hayes |
Disappointing on faster ground than she prefers last time. Had previously run a clear career best when second in a soft-ground G2 at Haydock. |
6 |
La Joconde |
Her only win came in maiden company, and though twice placed in G1’s, she would look an unlikely winner here. |
7 |
Mystery Angel |
Placed in group races this year and effective at this trip. But she has had a very busy year and looks vulnerable to fresher types. Best on quick ground. |
8 |
Snowfall |
With unexpected absentees from this she will surely start favourite to resume her G1 winning spree of earlier this season. Making her debut at Ascot but ground and trip ideal. |
