G1 – 1993m – Turf

1

Addeybb

Supporters will be looking for the slow ground on which he thrives and on which he won this race last year, always travelling easily. Kept fresh for this with just three 2021 runs.

2

Al Aasy

His jockey says that he needs to be delivered late so likely to be ridden more patiently this time. Went very close to a G1 success at Epsom in June.

3

Euchen Glen

Has twice caused surprise G3 wins – at York and Sandown. Has run well at Ascot before but surely isn’t capable of a G1 win in a contest of such quality as this.

4

Mishriff

This superb triple G1 winner was back to his very best, surging clear in a G1 at York.  Big chance even if pretty well the only poor run of his career was in this race in 2020.

5

Adayar

Two huge performances saw him win a G1 Epsom Classic and an Ascot G1.  Too keen in the Arc and just faded at the end on the testing ground. Could easily bounce back.

6

Bolshoi Ballet

Excuses when favourite in the Derby at Epsom but back to his best with a 2000m G1 victory at Belmont Park. However disappointing when favourite twice since in the USA.

7

Dubai Honour

This much improved gelding has won French G2’s on his last two starts, charging wide and from the back at Longchamp this month. Versatile groundwise and this trip ideal.

8

Foxes Tales

A speculative contender here with his only wins coming in maiden, handicap (over this course and distance) and G3 company. Seems to handle any ground.

9

Mac Swiney

Not so effective in recent starts as he was earlier in the season. A G1 Classic winner at The Curragh, but still not completely proven at this trip, and also needs slow ground.

10

Sealiway

Ran a very respectable fifth in the Arc at Longchamp this month considering that the 2400m surely tested his stamina. Likely to be ridden close to the speed.
