Good stayer although yet to run beyond 3300m. Last seen when running respectably in valuable handicap in Saudi Arabia in February. A difficult task.

Who Dares Wins

9-y-o. Admirable performer on the Flat and over hurdles. Won this race last year. Not matched that form since and well beaten in Chester Cup over 3700m last month. Unlikely to complete the double.

Stag Horn

Improving. Has won over 3600m. Only fair on return in G3 over 3200m at Ascot in April. A tough task.

Barbados

Not won in 12 runs since won maiden in 2019 but some good performances. Second in G2 Queen’s Vase over 2800m at Royal Ascot that year. Heavy ground perhaps to blame when well beaten stepped up to 4000m in G1 Prix Du Cadran last October. Not ruled out.

Calling The Wind

Run well at up to 3200m at Ascot, winning over 2800m there last year. Well beaten in recent races over 2400m. Not certain to stay the trip and badly off at the weights.

Cleonte

Stays very well. Won this race in 2019 but an 8-y-o and not as good nowadays. An unlikely winner.

Falcon Eight

Won Chester Cup over 3700m on first run of year last month. Ran respectably over 4000m in G1 Prix Du Cadran in 2019. Very good chance if stays the trip.

Global Heat

Has improved and able. Ran well in Group races at Meydan this year but most form at shorter than 3200m and far from certain to stay the trip.

Kloud Gate

Respectable seventh in the Ascot Stakes over 4000m in 2018. Not run on Flat since that year, now a 9-y-o. Very unlikely winner.

Lethal Steps

A decent hurdler but had not run on Flat since 2019 when second to last in Ascot Stakes over 4000m on Tuesday. Very unlikely winner.

Morando

8-y-o. Retains good level of ability but not won since 2019, nor beyond 2700m. Respectable fourth when stepped up to 3200m in G2 at Ascot last year. A difficult task.

Scaramanga

Good class hurdler. Not run beyond 3200m on Flat. Interesting but faces better Flat horses and not certain to stay the trip.

8-y-o. Good hurdler and capable of good performances on Flat. Won Cesarewitch over 3600m in 2019 and third in Ascot Stakes over 4000m in 2018. A very good chance.

The Grand Visir

7-y-o. Won Ascot Stakes in 2019 and second in this race last year. This year second in Chester Cup then third in G2 at Longchamp on very soft ground. A good chance.

To Be Wild

8-y-o. Not won since 2016. Runner-up in last two starts, latest 13 days ago over 3200m at Goodwood. Not certain to stay the trip and needs to improve.

Green Book

Formerly trained in France. Often placed but only won once, easily over 3700m at Chester last month. Well beaten off higher mark on heavy ground since but a fair chance.

A maiden. Been running at low level over hurdles since moving from Germany. Out of her depth.

In good form at humbler level than this. Racing off a handicap mark higher than she has ever won off. A tough task.

Table Mountain

Been hurdling this year. Has run well on Flat at Ascot, winning over 3200m last year. Now on a higher handicap mark and would be a surprise winner.
