1200m – Turf
1 |
Seen The Light |
Lightly raced and not been far back over the shorter sprint since shedding his maiden. The stable is in good form lately and the extra furlong will suit. |
2 |
Justaguything |
Showed a glimpse of his best form when the blinkers were removed. He was running at them late and his last win was over this distance from a deep draw. |
3 |
Crusade’s Star |
Took time to shed his maiden but has shown up nicely at recent start. He tried to make all on the poly surface last run but was swamped late. Luke Ferraris stays with the ride which is always a good sign. |
4 |
Dallas |
Cause something of an upset when winning at lengthy odds on the Scottsville straight course. His previous form on the Greyville poly had been patchy. A follow up win would come as a surprise. |
5 |
Lord Caro |
Took 30 starts to record his first success although he was seldom far back. Most of those starts were on the poly and he switches to the turf for the first time in over a year. He could find this tough going. |
6 |
Antigonus |
Comes from a stable that has hit form of late. Another that has improved with the blinkers removed and he was up against stronger last time out. He goes well this trip and has a strong money chance. |
7 |
Caesura |
Has been up against stronger of late and not been far back. He was finishing off his race well last time out and was still given a rating drop. Should further improve his chances from a better draw than what he had before. |
8 |
Movie Magic |
Caught the eye when staying on strongly on the Greyville poly last run. He is down in class and comes from a stable that likes to set them up. |
9 |
Roy’s Magic |
Seldom runs a bad race and his rating is on the decline again. He does look held on current form but he does come from an in form stable and has one of the strongest riders around on board. Has a money chance. |
10 |
Agent Murphy |
Kept going strongly to win his latest on the poly. He has a bit more to do here. And is an unlikely winner. |
11 |
Gimme A Rainbow |
Took some time to get it all together but shed his maiden in fine style on the poly. He does not meet a strong field in his handicap debut although he does have a tricky draw to overcome. |
12 |
Saipan |
Took ages to shed his maiden and has hit the boards only once since. Would be a shock winner. |
13 |
Princess Phee |
Has shown some recent improvement but takes on males for the first time. She will find this tough. |
14 |
Canadian Bolt |
Patchy form. Will need to improve on current efforts from a wide draw. |
|
Reserves |
|
15 |
Calgary |
First reserve runner. Shows good early toe but mostly runs out of gas when it counts. |
16 |
Alphamikefoxtrot |
Second reserve runner. Patchy form and was close-up last run. However, is something of a poly specialist. |
17 |
Great Guy |
Third reserve runner. Switches to the turf. Seldom far back but needs to improve to win this. |
