Listed – 2100m – Dirt

Ailes Du Courage

Consistently in the money. Excellent speed. Won here last year and followed that with second win over Tokyo 2100m the next month. Back on track in February after about 4 months and is 5-2 after mid-March run at local NAR track. Return to Tokyo a plus. Should be primed and ready.

Bank Of Clouds

Won over Tokyo 2100m end February and finished second in NAR graded stakes last out on 11 March. Excellent early speed.  Promising.

Conqueror

At best a 6th from last 6 starts at this level. Likely outclassed.

Generale Uno

Frontrunner dropping down from graded level. First time on dirt. Has raced only in graded stakes for last 9 starts, sidelined with tendonitis for 20 months, returned in September for 7-5-15. Hampered by soft track last out. Has not raced since late January. Wild card.

Great Time

Finished second over Tokyo 2100m in October and is 9-5-4 from last 3 starts, just missing money by a neck last out. No great expectations but with luck could make money.

Hayayakko

Is 6-3-5 this year, all over 9 furlongs, two in graded stakes races. Just made board last out in G3 at Nakayama end of March. Races from far off pace. Excellent late speed. Change to Tokyo with long stretch a decided plus. Promising.

Heroic Tale

Won over Tokyo 2100m late November in 3-win class then returned next month and posted 7th at Hanshin, 14th at Chukyo last out in early February. Has improved greatly in training. Should fare better this time. Return to Tokyo a plus. Could surprise.

Kalakupua

8-year-old gelding has best a 6th from last 4 starts, three in open class. Looks to be slowing. Not promising.

Last Man

Colt with 4 wins, 2 seconds from 10 starts has moved quickly up through ranks. Won over Tokyo 2100m in June but wide draw brought 13th-place finish among 16 in Tokyo 2100m in February. Won last out over Nakayama 1800m early March. Carrying 2 lb less this time. Promising.

Masahaya Nice

Won first race in 6 starts last out over Nakayama 1800m at class below in late March. Last year posted 7-4-9 over Tokyo 2100m from October. Running under 119 lb, lightest weight since summer of 2018. However, best results have come over clockwise tracks.

Meisho Matoi

7-year-old with 47 starts notched win at year end in class below for first time in over 2 years, with only two finishes in top three in same period. Not a contender.

Neo Brave

Won at level below over Tokyo 2100m in October. Followed that with 5-6-5 in 3 starts from late November in listed or open-class races, including mile last out. Races from rear, with excellent late speed. Return to 119 lb a plus. Worth a wager.

Reine Blanche

Filly raced largely in NAR races with decent results, but speed not competitive in JRA events. Ran tense with no gear change to finish 10th last out in Hanshin G3 over 1800m. Likely not competitive here.

Sakura Allure

Consistently in money at level below but needed bit more in last 5 starts since moving up. Finished 2nd in G3 over Chukyo 1900m in October. Returned after 3 months for far 3rd over sloppy Chukyo 1800m at end of March. Races from rear. Extra distance a plus, experienced at Tokyo. Has ample chance.

Schedar

Raced primarily over 1800m. Colt moved up ranks quickly with 4 wins from 7 starts. Returned after 3 months for 12th in first start at this level. First time at distance. Little experience racing to left but running under 4 lb less this time. Could surprise.

Tamamo San Siro

After finally winning first race in 2-win class, quickly notched another month later in mid-March. Taking on first open-class race, first time over longer than 1900m. Tends to lead or race from 2nd position. Is looking in good condition. Could surprise. Prefers fast track.
