1600m – Dirt

Annunciation

Chronically late at break but makes up with good late speed. Is 1-2-3 over Tokyo 1600m in 3 career starts. Has ample chance.

Clean Slate

Won over Nakayama 1800m last out early January after given more distance. Fourth in Chukyo 1400m. Tokyo mile could suit.

Fumichan

Mixed bag of turf and dirt. Inconsistent. Not likely to be competitive at Tokyo.

Jody’s Marron

Being given 1-2 furlongs more after minimal success in 7 starts. Extra distance a definite plus but likely not competitive here.

Lucky Mo

Only 2nd start, first since October debut win over Kyoto 1400m. Wild card.

Mabu Stork

Sixth start, fourth over JRA track. Moving from 1200m to mile. Extra distance a plus. Good late speed.

Medieval

Has made top three spots in 7 of 8 career starts, all sprints. Being given extra furlong for first time. Experienced at Chukyo, first time at Tokyo. Extra distance not necessarily a plus but likely competitive amid this field.

No Double Dip

Has raced in first or second position in 3 starts this year for 4-2-5, last two over mile. Won over Tokyo mile in November. Promising.

Noble Silhouette

Only 4th start, debuted with 6th over Tokyo mile, followed by 1-2 over 1800m in 2 starts at Nakayama. Good speed. Filly may be on a roll.

Peisha June

All 4 starts on board, 3 in money. Has 2-2 from 2 Tokyo starts over mile. Returning to mile from 1800m. Promising.

Rainy Day

First race since November start at NAR track. Broke maiden on 4th start over Chukyo 1800m. Poor showings at Tokyo. Not promising.

Tagano Tulle

Has best a 4th from last 5 starts, all over 1800m. Had always raced from far off pace but was able to get good position last out for first time under new rider. Less distance a plus.

Tamamo Butokai

Finished 6th in Tokyo mile in January and posted 4-5 in next 2 starts over Nakayama 1800m after jockey change and raced from more forward position last out. Decent speed. New strategy may help at Tokyo.

Thank You Letter

Following win over Nakayama 1800m in September returned after 7 months for 4th in same on 18 April. Improvement likely. First time to left. Speed decent. Has chance.

Top The Bill

Led for first time in January for 3rd in Chukyo 1800m. Returned after 3 months for 10th in Hanshin over same distance. Improvement likely with shorter distance. Could surprise.

Win Prost

Raced with little success on JRA tracks. Only finishes on board at NAR tracks. Not likely to translate well to Tokyo.
