	1600m – Turf
Longlai | Had thrived in the off-season judging by his fast-ground handicap victory in April when he responded to De Sousa’s urgings, winning comfortably in the end. The 7lb rise in the weights looks fair.
Tornadic | His successful two-year-old campaign resulted in two wins and a close second. Never going quick enough in the closing stages on his return. May have needed that but with something to prove now.
Forest Falcon | His two starts in April suggest that he has developed into a decent three-year-old handicapper over this sort of trip. A beaten favourite last time but the one who beat him looks very smart.
Magical Land | Second on all three career starts, latterly when returning from a 277-day break when a beaten favourite over 1400m here. Lacking enough speed, this longer trip will surely help. Handicap debut.
Crossford | Facts and figures suggest gradual progression and he made a good start to 2021 when second of ten over this course and distance. Has been raised 3lb for that encouraging handicap debut.
Zwelela | In good shape, leading early and again late when winning an all-weather handicap in April, his second consecutive victory. This turf handicap is more demanding but he may well be progressive.
