| Danon Greater | Experienced at distance but has made board only 3 times in last 8 starts. Fourth last out on 27 March under aggressive ride over Chukyo 2000m. Finished in 4th mere 0.5L off winner. Could surprise. |
| Irogotoshi | Racing for first time since October. Has had wide variety of distances. Tried over dirt and turf. Best results have come over 6-7 furlongs with only 1 finish on board from 3 starts at 2000m or more. Likely unsuited here. |
| Kibono Daichi | Last finish in top three was in October 2018 with only 1 finish on board in 9 starts since. Speed lacking. |
| May Or | Has best a fourth since moving to this class a year ago. Lacks speed. Likely outclassed. |
| Meiner Mythos | Moving up in class and returning after 2 months from win over Nakayama 2200m, with a second before that over the same in December. Chronically late at the break, tends to race from the rear, but can race midfield and has consistently made second and third over 2000m. Not disadvantaged by any going. |
| Peace Dion | Returned after 4 months for 8th over Nakayama 2500m. Has 1 win, 1 second over 2000m. Improvement expected but 2 runs at venue have yielded poor 11-8. |
| Sanshiro | 7-year-old stayer raced mostly over 2400m and up. Posted 6th over Tokyo 2000m in November. Returning from 3-month layoff. Not promising. |
| Scent Of Gold | Lightly raced colt with only 1 finish from 6 out of money. All but one start over 9-10 furlongs. Won over Nakayama 2000m last April. Proven over any going, but prefers ground with bit of spring. Very promising. |
| Shadow Session | Switched from turf to dirt and back, with last 3 starts, all over turf, yielding 6-4-2 over 9-10 furlongs. Second by nose over Chukyo 2000m last out on 27 March. Speed only average, but could surprise with right trip. |
| Victor Barows | Returned after 3 months to finish a far fourth over 2000m, first time at Hanshin. Track did not suit. Best results have come to left, with 7-4 from Nakayama 2 starts. Needs bit more speed. Weight has fluctuated greatly. Improvement likely once weight stabilizes. Venue closer to home a plus. |
