6 | Wagnerian | Winner of the 2018 G1 Japanese Derby (2400m). Five wins between 1800m and 2400m from 14 runs. Returned from eight-month break to finish 5th in the G2 Kyoto Kinen (2200m) on 14 February latest. Hold-up runner. No track worries. |
7 | Contrail | Took the G1 Kikuka Sho (3000m) last October to become the third unbeaten Japanese Triple Crown winner in 2020. Tasted his first career defeat when held off by super mare Almond Eye for a 1.25L 2nd in the G1 Japan Cup (2400m) last November. This will be his seasonal bow. Races midfield or better. Displayed her signature turn of foot in each of her three straight wins in the G1 Yasuda Kinen (1600m) in June, the G1 Sprinters Stakes (1200m) in October and the G1 Mile Championship in November.
