G2 – 1900m – Dirt
| El Patriota | Quickly transferred his high class form in Uruguay to Meydan when outclassing 14 rivals over this distance in January. Never seemed happy when fancied to repeat that last time, third to Panadol. |
| Ambivalent | This US challenger took time to gain a first win and though he outclassed his rivals on that latest start it was a maiden over 1200m on the turf. Facing a different set of circumstances here. |
| Fire Group | Had a visor fitted last time and that may have helped, either way it was the best of his five starts, 3.5L fourth of 12 to Panadol, keeping on over this distance. But he’ll need to raise his game further. |
| France Go De Ina | Though his breeding does not scream stamina, he has won his last two starts in Japan – both at 1800m. Hard to compare the form, but racing forwardly each time he has won both those dirt races easily. |
| Lugamo | Won two of his four starts in the US, racing prominently each time. Those came over 1400m and 1600m at Laurel Park. Now needs to prove himself up at 1900m against international competition. |
| Mouheeb | An expensive purchase who is proving smart. Has won two of his three starts and, after looking in trouble, his stamina kicked in – winning a 1600m G3 here in February. Chances if suited to 1900m. |
| New Treasure | On his second ever start, he sprang a huge surprise to win a heavy-ground 1200m G3 at The Curragh. His third in a valuable 1600m event in Riyadh was a very encouraging dirt performance. |
| Panadol | A serious player here, unbeaten in two starts, and, though hesitant at the gates each time, he quickly stamped his authority on each race, latterly when proving himself at this distance this month. |
| Pink Kamehameha | Won a maiden on his debut but then didn’t really progress on the turf in Japan. A different story when switching to dirt and bagging the 1600m Saudi Derby in Riyadh last month. Races prominently. |
| Rebel’s Romance | Won his first three starts including a fast-run 1600m event on his Meydan debut. Was 5L fourth of 12 to Pink Kamehameha in February’s Saudi Derby but this rise to 1900m looks positive. |
| Speight’spercomete | Yet to win in four starts but his last two runs – both over this course and distance – have been very positive. Especially last time when despite a wide trip he was closing down Panadol late on. |
| Takeru Pegasus | Different tactics have been used on him, coming from mid-field to win a 1600m maiden at Tokyo then leading when second in a stronger contest. The stamina in his pedigree is positive for this. |
| Mnasek | Twice slowly away but has won two from three, and, even if it was a modest race for the grade, there was a lot to like about the way she crushed her rivals in a G3 over this distance last month. |
| Soft Whisper | Comfortably beat subsequent G3 winner Mnasek over 1600m here in January, even if that rival blew the start that day. Briefly led when well fancied for the Saudi Derby last time but faded late on. |
