G1 – 2410m – Turf
| Channel Maker | One of the leading US turf horses who led from the gates – under plenty of motivation from his rider – to win a G1 at Belmont last October, a second straight G1 win. Running well since. |
| Dubai Future | Quite easily beat Volcanic Sky (a G3 winner since) in a Listed handicap in February. Then found Walton Street just too strong in a G2, also here. This is his first G1, and it may prove beyond him. |
| Simsir | Never happy on the dirt in the Saudi Cup in Riyadh last time. Last November he had won a valuable 2000m event in Bahrain under an enterprising ride. One or two others are preferred. |
| Star Safari | Responded strongly to pressure to win a handicap over this trip here, then earning his place in this with a 2000m G3 win later in February. Hard to fancy for the win money. |
| Walton Street | Thriving at Meydan, winning his last two starts – a G2 last time with authority. Facts and figures show that, at seven, he is better than ever. Facing some new opponents here but has chances. |
| Berkshire Rocco | Has only won two of his ten starts but yet to run a bad race. Most recently he only found one rival too good in a valuable event in Dohar. Clearly, travelling is not a problem for this UK-trained colt. |
| Mishriff | Without a high profile in the UK last year, despite G1 and G2 French wins. But his superb victory – mowing down America’s Charlatan in last month’s Saudi Cup – the world’s richest race changed that. Back on grass and up in distance. |
| Mogul | Twice a G1 winner, latterly with a memorable victory in the LONGINES Hong Kong Vase (2400m) last December, leading 300m out and driven clear of Exultant. Great chance if he can replicate that in his 2021 return. |
| Chrono Genesis | This Japanese-trained winning machine landed another G1 when leading 150m and bravely fending off challengers in a high-class Nakayama event over 2500m last December. A serious player. |
| Loves Only You | This Japanese trained mare bounced back to winning form with a smooth victory in a 2200m G2 at Hanshin last month. She has won a G1 over a similar trip to this so must be respected. |
