2000m – Turf
Admire Sage |
Not standout in training but won his debut over 1800m strongly, albeit on the flat, tight Kokura track. Half-brother of 2009 Japanese Derby (2400m) winner Logi Universe. Has potential. Should be able to handle step up in class. |
Nihonpiro Maribu |
Shown excellent late speed in his winning debut over Kyoto 1800m. Whether the turns and undulation at Hanshin pose problem will remain to be seen. |
Queen’s Lavender |
This filly won her debut at a course record time for 2YO over 2000m at Chukyo. Good early speed and racing sense. Settles well and looks like a class act. First run at right-handed track this time. |
Studley |
Broke maiden over Kyoto 2000m on slower track last out. Slow at break but good turn of foot. Competition stiff. |
World Revival |
Erratic results over last 3 starts, all over 2-month span. Modest speed. Not promising. |
