Having reviewed the latest situation of COVID-19 and the effectiveness of the precautionary health protection measures implemented at racecourses, and with the aim of gradually making the racecourses available to more customers, the Hong Kong Jockey Club (the Club) has decided that not only Owners with Starters but any Owners with a successful prior table booking will be admitted to the Sha Tin race meeting on 14 March. However, no guests will be admitted. The same arrangements will apply to Voting Members. Racecourse cross betting will remain unavailable and all betting facilities at Sha Tin Clubhouse will be closed.
In addition, starting from 14 March, the first race on race days with 10 races and 11 races will return to its normal start time of 1pm and 12:30pm respectively.
Venues that will be open on 14 March are the Owners Box 1/F, Owners Box 3/F, Owners Box 6/F Section 1, 2 and 3, Jockey Club Box on 2/F, Stewards Box on 7/F and Voting Members Box on 7/F. The Club will continue to ensure social distancing at all racecourse venues open during race meetings. It will also continue to implement all other precautionary measures for the protection of customers and staff such as requiring customers to wear face masks.
Betting services at all Off-course Betting Branches remain suspended. Telebet hotlines 1881, 1882, 1883, 1884, 1885, 1887, 1889, Priority Red Card and Quickline services also remain temporarily suspended. Customers can continue to place bets via the 1886 Telebet Automated System, the Club’s mobile betting app, Racing Touch, or eWin. Fund deposits can be made by FPS or EPSCO via the Club’s betting app or eWin, or by PPS or Bank Bill Payment Services via online banking websites.
Customers who do not have an online fund transfer facility can register online via the Club’s betting app or via eWin for FPS fund transfer.
