The Hong Kong Jockey Club has been monitoring the development of COVID-19 closely. To protect the health of customers and employees, and in support of the HKSAR Government’s initiatives to minimise public health risks, the Club has implemented a series of precautionary measures including the suspension of services at all Off Course Betting Branches (OCBBs) since 2 February. However, while the majority of the Club’s customers have been able to continue using the Club’s services via online platforms, some loyal customers who do not have a registered account with the Club are unable to access some essential services such as cashing-in vouchers or winning tickets; nor are they able to reactivate or open accounts in order to use online services.

To address the needs of this group of loyal customers without compromising public health, the Club has decided to selectively open some OCBBs two days a week starting from 2 March. The Club would like to highlight that only these limited services will be provided under this arrangement. Betting services on racing and football will not be available in OCBBs. The Mark Six lottery also remains suspended.

Details of the arrangements are as follows:

No betting services on racing and football will be available. No odds information will be displayed at the OCBBs. The Mark Six lottery will continue to be suspended.
Customers will be required to wear masks and receive temperature screening before entry to OCBBs. The same will apply to staff working at the OCBBs.
  • Only limited services such as cashing-in of vouchers and winning tickets, opening of accounts and making deposits to betting accounts will be provided in these OCBBs.
  • Only a limited number of customers will be able to enter an OCBB at one time so as to prevent customer crowding inside. A queuing system outside OCBBs will be implemented
  • With effect from 2 March, 17 OCBBs will be open on Mondays and Thursdays from 9:30am to 6:00pm.

The following are the 17 OCBBs which will be open under this arrangement:

Central, Stanley Street Shek Kip Mei, Tai Po Road Sheung Shui, Shek Wu Hui Tsing Yi, Maritime Square
Causeway Bay, Jaffe Road Wong Tai Sin, Tropicana Tuen Mun Town Plaza Tsuen Wan, Castle Peak Road
Quarry Bay, King’s Road Kwun Tong Plaza Yuen Long, Hop Yick Road
Tsim Sha Tsui, Hankow Road Tseung Kwan O, Po Lam Tin Shui Wai
Mong Kok, Nathan Centre Sha Tin, Lucky Plaza Kwai Fong

The Club would also like to take this opportunity to announce that from 5 March it will be launching the new HKJC eWallet. This new service will provide OCBB customers with an additional and faster means of opening accounts and making deposits at this moment.
