Ascot Brass

Has winning form in Sweden last year but could never threaten on her Meydan debut last month when today’s rivals Dubai Love and Down On Da Bayou finished well in front of her. It will probably be the same again here.

Serein

The winner of two of her four starts in Japan and looked to post a career best with a neck victory at Nakayama last month. Hard to assess but on paper looks the most obvious threat to Dubai Love.

Tapi Sioux

Not one of the stars of Doug Watson’s classy stable so far, and quite well beaten on all three Meydan starts. Some encouragement last time however when she was doing her best work at the end – finishing 3rd of 15 -in a 1600m maiden here last month.

Careless Whisper

Showed some encouragement in Scandinavia last year but their racing is generally at a weaker level and, though prominent early, she faded out in a 1400m turf event here earlier this month.

Dubai Love

Although covering less ground than any of her rivals her easy defeat of eight fillies over 1600m here last month still counts as a really promising effort. Her trainer thinks she should be even better over this longer trip.

Down On Da Bayou

A bitter disappointment when fancied for her first start here in November, but has improved race by race since then. She will probably lead as she did over 1600m here last month though today’s rival Dubai Love proved 3.25 lengths too strong then.
