G3 – 2000m – Turf

Royal Meeting |
Was the easy winner of a 1400m G1 at Chantilly on just his second career start. However he has only competed three times since that 2018 victory and will need to upgrade significantly from a modest Meydan debut in January. Up in distance. |

Under an enterprising front-running ride he beat better fancied Godolphin candidates in this last year, responding well to pressure. No surprise if those tactics were tried again. Only raced twice subsequently last year. |

Certain Lad |
Has made his name in handicap company and he did spring a shock win on his Meydan debut with a fast-finishing defeat of 10 rivals over this distance last month. This is tougher. |

Privilegiado |
This Scandinavian-trained colt has winning form over further than this at Norway’s Ovrevoll racecourse, seeming to like taking an early lead. However he was beaten a long way on his Meydan debut earlier this month and looks to have a mountain to climb in this G3. |

Desert Encounter |
This veteran has been improving with age, winning his last four starts most recently when coming from way off the speed to win a G1 in Canada. That was over 2400m and he’ll probably need a swift pace to win at this trip. |

Ghaiyyath |
Let his supporters down in last October’s Arc at Longchamp on very soft ground but otherwise has a nearly impeccable record including when brutalising his opposition by 14 lengths in a 2400m G1 at Baden-Baden. No worries with this shorter trip, and he looks to have a class edge on this Meydan debut. |
