On Sunday, 29 September, the Hong Kong Jockey Club will simulcast seven races from the Sprinters Stakes Day at Nakayama Racecourse in Japan (1st race 11:55am).
The best of Japan’s speed stars will line up for the Sprinters Stakes (G1 1200m for 3yo+) which kicks off Japan’s autumn Grade 1 season. Godolphin won the race in 2018 with Fine Needle, and they are strongly represented this year by their 4yo TOWER OF LONDON who was most impressive when winning the G2 Keio Hai Spring Cup and G2 Sankei Sho Centaur Stakes in track record time.
The details of supporting races will be announced later.
Final declarations with barrier draws for the Sprinters Stakes will be available on Friday, 27 September while the final declarations with barrier draws for the other races will be published at HKJC.com on Saturday, 28 September.
