G1 – 1594m – Turf
| Castle Lady | This unbeaten French-trained filly won Longchamp’s prestigious Poule D’Essai des Pouliches last time, always prominent and just holding a rival who boosted the form with her narrow G1 defeat at Chantilly on Sunday. |
| Happen | Looked to have no chance at half-way in a 1400m G3 at The Curragh last month but found amazing acceleration late on to get up and win. This extra distance is surely suitable. |
| Hermosa | The obvious favourite having improved significantly from two to three, winning the 1000 Guineas at both Newmarket and The Curragh, impressively leading from gate to wire each time. |
| Jubiloso | Moves up sharply in class but her trainer is a master and wouldn’t be running here without a chance. Has thrashed her rivals on both her starts, latterly making all the running at Newbury. |
| Just Wonderful | Hasn’t obviously improved from her two-year-old form when a G3 and G2 winner. Has finished well behind Hermosa in two G1’s this season and no obvious reason why it will be different here. |
| Main Edition | Twice a G3 winner as a two-year-old including over 1200m at Royal Ascot. Proved she stayed this distance and that she was in good shape with a G2 Dusseldorf victory last month. |
| Mot Juste | Her second in a G3 at Newmarket in April showed that she had trained on into an effective three-year-old. However she didn’t make much impact subsequently in the 1000 Guineas. |
| Pretty Pollyanna | Her excellent two-year-old season included a G1 win over 1200m at Deauville. Her second to Hermosa in a G1 at The Curragh last month was a very positive start to this season. |
| Twist ‘N’ Shake | Has improved race by race and did nothing wrong in defeat when battling on bravely after being headed when a close second in a York Listed race over this distance in May. |
| Watch Me | Led near the finish to win a prestigious Maisons-Laffitte G3 over 1400m in April. Not beaten far when sixth in a Longchamp G1 at this distance in May. Stable in good form. |
