Race 1 – DRAGON BACHELOR
DRAGON BACHELOR, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. DRAGON BACHELOR was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer Y S Tsui this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, DRAGON BACHELOR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Race 4 – HERO LOOK
After the race, HERO LOOK was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time the horse was found to be lame in its left front leg and to have a substantial amount of blood in its trachea on endoscopic examination. HERO LOOK was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer C H Yip this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to have a sore left front fetlock. As previously advised, HERO LOOK will be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
Race 6 – MR PICASSO
MR PICASSO, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm and had bled from both nostrils. MR PICASSO was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer D J Hall this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. As previously advised, MR PICASSO will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
Race 8 – JUMBO HAPPINESS
JUMBO HAPPINESS, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. JUMBO HAPPINESS was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer C Fownes this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, JUMBO HAPPINESS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
The Veterinary Officer reported that examinations conducted this morning of all other horses inspected during yesterday’s racemeeting were shown to have no significant findings.
