| 1 | Chautauqua | 2016 Chairman’s Sprint Prize winner who returned from spell with 2.2 lengths 7th to Redzel in G 2 The Shorts (1100m) at Randwick on 16 September (won in track record time). That was sound effort in race dominated from the front. Strong finisher who has won three of four starts this course and distance and performs on all track conditions. |
| 2 | Clearly Innocent | Not raced since June when placed in G 1 Stradbroke Handicap at 1350m. Not noted for fresh form but profile may have changed as this is only second campaign for this trainer. Won nine of 16 starts and capable all conditions (unbeaten in four starts on rain affected ground). Generally ridden back. |

That was first run since May and does have good record second-up. Placed both starts this course and distance. Usually races close to the speed and proven on good and soft ground. |

In the first three at eight of ten starts this distance. Won on good and soft ground (failed one start on heavy). |

| 9 | English | Caught wide throughout when 1.8 lengths 4th to Redzel in G 2 The Shorts (1100m) at Randwick on 16 September. Fitter for that run and sound record here includes head 2nd to Chautauqua in G 1 T.J. Smith Stakes last April. Usually stalks the speed. Capable all conditions. |
