The verti-drain was used on the Happy Valley and Sha Tin turf tracks to alleviate surface hardness according to the following schedules:
Happy Valley
| 30– 31 August | Whole Course |
Sha Tin
| 21 August | A to C+3 Course |
| 29 August | C+3 Course and the remaining area |
On completion of the works, these areas were lightly rolled as per previous practice.
