Quickthorn

A nine-time winner with some extraordinary victories from the front including when romping to a 14l victory in this last year. Similar tactics saw him easily win a Goodwood G1 last time. Chance.

Broome

This nine-time winning veteran proved he could handle this sort of trip when winning a Meydan G2 this year. Well beaten in G1 on his last two starts, and probably vulnerable here.

Coltrane

Second in this last year, but no chance with the runaway winner Quickthorn. All runs since have been excellent staying efforts including G2 and G3 victories. Very tough and surely a main contender.

Giavellotto

His career best performance came on his only previous visit to York when landing a G2 here in May. This galloping track clearly suits.

Nate The Great

Stays this trip well though his six career wins have all come at a lesser level than this. Ran well in a Royal Ascot G1 last time despite being hampered. This still looks tough.

River Of Stars

Encouraging that her only previous York visit resulted in a G3 success. Stumbled badly leaving the gates last time so that G2 second at Goodwood was solid. Up to this trip for the first time.
