1400m – Turf

1

Farhh To Shy

Generally consistent. Won Class 3 Handicap over 1403m in July. Needs a bit more off raised handicap mark.

2

Al Simmo

Withdrawn

3

Nizaaka

1400m her best distance. Not at best this year and not seen since last in Class 3 Handicap in June. Tough task.

4

Sophia’s Starlight

Progressive, mainly at 1200m but stays further. Won competitive Handicap at Ripon on 19 August. Tough challenge. Not ruled out.

5

Espressoo

Won 3-16, all wins at 1400m. Often runs well but handicap mark is challenging.

6

Back See Daa

Won Class 2 Novice with authority over 1600m in June. Respectable efforts since. Raised handicap mark and shorter trip challenging but good chance.

7

Unequal Love

Won 3 of 4, latest in three runner Handicap over 1393m on 11 August. Likely to improve and a leading contender.

8

Royal Dress

Won well over 1393m in July and close fourth in Class 3 Handicap over 1600m this month. Acts on any going. A live candidate.

9

Candle Of Hope

Won first two races as 2-y-o but proved difficult to place successfully since. Needs handicap mark to drop.

10

Eximious

Returned from break with close third in Class 3 Handicap over 1729m on all-weather track a week ago. Fine at 1400m and a live contender.

11

Cuban Breeze

5-y-o. 19 runs since last win. All wins over 1000m or 1200m. Never run over further. Unlikely winner.

12

International Girl

10 of 21 runs at York, winning one over 1200m. Running well recently over that distance. Well beaten on rare runs over further.

13

Rock Melody

Fine run of form in June/July, winning twice over 1001m then creditably in Class 2 Handicaps. Bred to stay 1400m and has won over it. Interesting.

14

Naomi Lapaglia

Lightly raced 3-y-o. Won Class 2 Handicap over 1400m in July. A live contender.

15

Dubai Jemila

Highly tried and not seen since well beaten in G3 over 1400m in April and in Class 3 Handicap at York in May. A tough task.

16

Mottisfont

Won 1-9, win on debut. Mixed form at from 1200m to 1600m. Needs falling handicap mark to produce better result.

17

Peony

Improved to win Class 4 Handicap over 1200m in June. Well beaten in similar race in July. Needs to improve.

18

Nigiri

Came to life in fair Handicaps, winning convincingly over 1593m this month. Probably best on soft going. Good chance.

19

Coco Jamboo

Won 1-10 and placed 8 times. Generally consistent at 1200m and 1400m. Needs to improve a bit.

20

Misty Blues

Won 1-10. Twice ran well at York last year over 1200m. Twice heavily defeated on return in July. Would be a shock winner.
