Hong Kong Airlines is the new title sponsor of the Hong Kong Airlines Million Challenge and will partner for the next three seasons. The lucrative series commenced tonight at the season’s first Happy Valley meeting.

The 2017/18 season Hong Kong Airlines Million Challenge kicked off tonight at Happy Valley Racecourse with an opening ceremony held prior to the first race in the series. Officiating guests were (Photo 1 from left) Mr. Wang Liya, Vice Chairman and President, Hong Kong Airlines; Mr. Tang King Shing, Vice Chairman, Hong Kong Airlines; Mr. Zhang Kui, Co-Chairman, Hong Kong Airlines; Dr. Simon Ip, Chairman, The Hong Kong Jockey Club; Mr. Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges, CEO, The Hong Kong Jockey Club and Mr. Anthony Kelly, Executive Director of Racing Business and Operations, The Hong Kong Jockey Club.

Happy Wednesday’s Back at the Valley saw racegoers embrace the party mood with food, drinks, live music and fun games at the racecourse. The party continues on 13 September.
