The Club’s Chief Medical Officer (CMO) has been monitoring Jockey Zac Purton’s health status since testing Covid-19 positive on Sunday, including ongoing testing. Based on the results to date it has been assessed that Jockey Purton can be declared tomorrow (Thursday, 17 November 2022) for the race meeting to be conducted on Sunday 20 November 2022. The Club’s CMO will continue to monitor Jockey Purton’s health status throughout the required isolation period.

Jockey Purton will undertake a necessary Rapid Antigen Test (‘RAT’) on Saturday, 19 November 2022 after which his being able to remain eligible to ride the following day will be further assessed prior to betting commencing. Dependent on that decision the final decision on his clearance to ride at the meeting will be contingent on Jockey Purton providing a further negative RAT on the morning of Sunday, 20 November 2022 and meeting the Club’s requirements under our internal protocols.

A further release will be issued at the appropriate time.
