| 4 | Belloccio | Won Listed race in France last year but well beaten when raised in class this year. An unlikely winner. |
| 5 | Ottoman Emperor | Cheap yearling. Done well, winning last three of four races but this a big step up in class. A tough task. |
| 6 | Sir Lucan | Mixed form. Narrowly won Listed race over 2600m in May. Needs to improve. |
| 7 | Third Realm | Promising and beat Adayer over 2300m on soft ground before finishing well behind the same horse in Derby. Excuses for that and could bounce back. |
| 8 | Wordsworth | Odds-on when narrowly beaten by stablemate Sir Lucan in May. Since run well behind top class Hurricane Lane in G1s. A good chance. |
