1000m – Turf

1 Nomadic Empire Running respectably although only won one from 11 and looks a bit high in the handicap.
2 Twilight Calls Progressive and best yet when dropped to 1000m this month. Raised handicap mark but a clear chance.
3 Caroline Dale Ran well at G3 level last year. Returned to form when narrowly beaten this month. An interesting contender.
4 Muker Good 2-y-o but generally disappointing this year. Gelded before latest respectable effort off reduced handicap mark and blinkered. Outside chance.
5 Whenthedealinsdone Dropped to 1000m, won fair handicap last month and respectable effort off higher mark since. An outside chance.
6 First Company Fair form at his best but only win from 10 tries in weak three runner race this month. Since last in Listed race. Does not appeal.
7 Rebel At Dawn In good form in four runs last month until disappointing favourite in final one. Needs to bounce back.
8 Showalong Consistent performer over 1000m and 1200m. Less good on latest run this month. An outside chance.
9 Nelson Gay Made good start to season, winning twice and since run respectably off higher handicap mark without threatening to win. A tough task.
10 Isle Of Lismore Progressive, ran well off raised handicap mark after winning twice. A live candidate.
11 Jojo Rabbit Not seen since last August. Gelded since. Needs to be at his best to be competitive here.
12 Digital Better at 1000m than 1200m. His best runs put him in the mix. Not ruled out.
13 A Pint Of Bear Cheap 2-y-o. Raced mainly on all-weather tracks but best run when runner-up in handicap over 1000m on turf at York this month. A fair chance.
14 Fantasy Master Cheap yearling. Won twice last year but not progressed this year and unlikely winner.
15 Ehrmann Cheap yearling. Very consistent. Best on soft ground. On career high mark but not ruled out.
16 The Princes Poet Won small race when dropped to 1000m last month. Twice well held over same trip off same handicap mark since. An unlikely winner.
