French trained. Won G3 over 1400m at Deauville in April. Probably needs to improve.

Ace Aussie

Excellent second to top class Poetic Flare in Listed race over 1400m in April. Beaten favourite but not disgraced in G3 over 1600m since. A fair chance.

Creative Force

Improving and won all three outings this year, all over 1200m, easily landing Listed race ahead of Spycatcher and Tactical last month. Has good acceleration and excellent chance.

Fundamental

Well held in G3 over 1400m in April. Since runner-up in Listed race. Needs to improve.

Great King

£460,000 two-year-old. Record in five races so far indicates is out of his depth in this.

Khartoum

Expensive yearling. Followed disappointing last in G3 over 1600m in April with comfortable victory in handicap at Naas on soft ground. Likely to improve.

Legion Of Honour

Drops in class after well beaten in 2000 Guineas at Newmarket last month. Difficult to assess. Not ruled out.

Mehmento

Cheap 2-y-o purchase has done well, narrowly beaten by useful Chindit in G3 over this trip and winning four runner Listed race at Epsom 15 days ago. A fair chance.

Mutasaabeq

Not disgraced when finishing midfield in 2000 Guineas on third career start. Difficult to assess. Another with a chance.

Nando Parrado

Won G2 Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot last year then runner-up in two G1 races in France. Behind Mehmento when reappearing in G3 at Newbury then well beaten in strong Listed race at Sandown over 1600m. Possibly not as good as he was.

Naval Crown

Stepped up markedly when creditable fourth in 2000 Guineas on fast ground. That form gives him a good chance.

Rhythm Master

Did well last year, including when third in G1 in France over 1200m. Only fair run on return over 1400m in G3 in April, behind Mehmento, Nando Parrado and Fundamental. Needs to improve.

Spycatcher

Well held by Creative Force in Listed race at Newbury over 1200m last month but likely to prefer 1400m and not ruled out.

Storm Damage

Impressive when winning novice race on all-weather at Kempton on debut 17 days ago. A big step up but may well be up to it.

Tactical

Good level of ability last year when won G2 July Stakes and fourth in G1 Middle Park Stakes, both at Newmarket over 1200m. Beat Naval Crown when winning Listed race over 1400m at Newmarket in April but behind Creative Force and Spycatcher returned to 1200m last month. Needs more.

Bellosa

Won two out of two, both over 1400m at Newmarket including Listed race last month, readily beating Fundamental. This race a bigger test but clearly able.

Light Refrain

Improvement has come on soft going and over 1200m, winning Listed race then fair fourth in G2. Stays 1400m. Chance may depend on the state of the ground.

Vadream

Shown good level of form in her three runs, latest when midfield, not beaten far, in 1000 Guineas. Not ruled out in a competitive contest.
