Heads the best weighted column but is clearly at his best over further than 1400m. Not disgraced when only 7.5L behind stablemate Kasimir last time. Would be a surprise winner but could sneak some minor money.

Fabian

Unreliable and did fail in his only try at this course and distance. Did well when 3rd last time out after being slowly away. Well drawn and jockey Aldo Domeyer has had success on him but others are preferred for the win.

Hudoo Magic

Jockey Anton Marcus knows this fellow well but the draw could be a problem over this course and distance. Has been a bit disappointing in two starts since a successful raid at Turffontein. Place chance.

King Of Gems

Only 2 wins for 13 starts and has struggled a bit this season. Put in an improved effort when 4th last time out and with further improvement could possibly earn some minor money.

Snow Report

In good form and is coming off a solid win over this course and distance last time out. This is a tougher race but trainer Candice Bass-Robinson has her runners in good form and he does have a winning chance.

Captain Of Stealth

Started his career very nicely with two impressive wins but after a major injury has been a bit disappointing since. Only 1.85L behind Pinkerton at the course and distance last out. Clearly not out of it.

Cabo Da Cruz

Probably was just in need of both recent runs and will strip fitter this time. Not disgraced when 5th, only 1.65L behind Snow Report over the course and distance last time. Will go close.

Hurricane Harry

Set the pace before folding the 1600m G1 Queen’s Plate last time out. Well beaten also in his penultimate start so he does need to improve, but is capable of an upset if returning to his best form.

Pinkerton

4 wins in his last 5 starts suggests he will be the one to beat. Well drawn and has Richard Fourie in the irons.

Via Salaria

3 wins in 2019 showed him at his best and he did win once in 3 starts in 2020. Probably in need of his latest start when well beaten behind Pinkerton. Clearly capable of better and deserves some respect.
