In view of the latest development of COVID-19 in Hong Kong, the HKSAR Government has required residents in specified districts to undergo a compulsory COVID-19 test. The Hong Kong Jockey Club (the Club) has decided to close the Off-Course Betting Branches (OCBBs) located at Nathan Centre in Mong Kok, Tai Po Road in Shek Kip Mei and Hankow Road in Tsim Sha Tsui from 20 January, 2021 in order to protect public health and safety. The Club will open 3 other OCBBs located at Lucky Plaza in Sha Tin, Tropicana in Wong Tai Sin and Maritime Square in Tsing Yi to minimise the potential public health risk at the OCBBs due to over-crowding.

The 19 OCBBs will provide the services of betting account deposits or withdrawals and cash-in of cash vouchers or winning tickets. Betting services and opening or re-activation of betting accounts will not be available.

To prevent over-crowding, horse races and football matches will not be broadcast at the OCBBs and customers are required to leave the OCBBs after completion of service. Public health measures including body temperature scanning, mask-wearing, social distancing and cleaning and disinfecting will continue to be implemented in the OCBBs.
