| Cannon Barows | Stepped up to this level following four starts out of 10 in the money, including a second over 1800m at Hanshin. Good early speed. Has a chance. |
| Cherry Triton | Consistently hits the board. In money in 5 starts of 10 this year. Bled in August race, returned a heavy body weight but won at Chukyo over 1800m on 5 December. Big chance. |
| Copano Rich Man | Won 4 times at the NAR’s track of Monbetsu earlier this year. First start since moving back to JRA. Lacks speed. Likely outclassed. |
| Crescent Moon | Has 2 thirds over this distance at Hanshin in last 7 starts, including last out in mid-November. Has ability but inconsistent, and has trouble changing legs. First time at Nakayama. Could surprise. |
| Destroy | Has not raced since May. Ran 3rd, 10th and 11th in his three previous starts at this level in spring. Sluggish in morning work. Not promising. |
| Glenmacnass | Started the year with 6th and 5th in 2 runs in the same class, course and distance. Stretched to longer distance since but the return to 1800m here is a plus. 6th at Kyoto over 1900m in late-October last out, with drop in weight. Venue closer to home a plus but speed at this level has proven only average. |
| Kyoei Palast | Only 5 career starts, all but his debut have seen him finish in the money. Moving up rapidly in class, including a nice half-length win over 1800m at Niigata latest. First time at this level. Good speed. Runs just off pace or midfield. Promising. |
| Lingus Bingo | Finished third in this grade at the course and distance in April but disappointed in her next three starts. Returning after 4 months off. Still looks heavy and work looks insufficient. Prefers heavier track. |
| Lunar Eclipse | Both career wins so far have come from the course and distance, including the latest one at a level below in early-October. Moved up to this class and finished a distant 5th over Tokyo 2100m on 31 October last out. Return to venue and distance a plus. Could surprise. |
| Max Un | Best finish two 9ths from 3 starts at this level. Lacks speed. Likely outclassed. |
| On The Way | Chronically slow from the gate. Raced primarily over the mile. Has best a 7th for twice in last 6 starts at this level. Likely outclassed. |
| Reward Norn | Debuted with a poor showing over 1800m at Nakayama, then moved to race over shorter distances except when finishing second at Fukushima over 1700m in July. Speed average but returning to this distance might help. Likely outclassed at this level though. |
