The Licensing Committee, by circulation of paper, has resolved to grant, subject to the usual formalities, a Club Jockey’s licence to:-
- Alberto Sanna for the period 1 December 2017 to 30 April 2018, both dates inclusive, and
- Pierre-Charles Boudot for the period 1 January 2018 to 25 February 2018, both dates inclusive.

Jockey Sanna, 32 years of age, has in excess of 800 career wins including many classic Group races in Italy and has enjoyed success in other countries such as France, Germany, Dubai, Austria, Belgium, Hungary, Poland and Serbia. Since relocating to Bahrain and Qatar over the past 5 seasons Jockey Sanna has continued to achieve considerable success, winning most of the major races in that region. However, the most recent 2016/2017 racing season was his most successful where he achieved 5 domestic Group 1 wins including the 2017 Qatar Emir’s Trophy International (US$1 Million), was crowned Champion Jockey of Bahrain with a winning strike rate of better than 25% and was also runner-up in the Qatar Jockeys’ Championship. During a brief riding stint in Hong Kong at the end of the 2016/2017 racing season when he rode at the final 3 race meetings, Jockey Sanna was able to ride 2 winners from 19 rides at a winning percentage of 10.5%. Pierre-Charles’s Boudot profile
At just 25 years of age, Jockey Boudot has already won the 2016 French Jockeys’ Championship outright and in the process achieved a European record 300 wins. He was previously crowned joint Champion Jockey in France in 2015 with Christophe Soumillon on 179 wins and has already ridden almost 1200 winners in just 9 seasons of riding. During the current French racing season, Jockey Boudot has ridden 193 wins and will finish in 2nd placing on the Jockeys’ Championship. The most recent of his 8 Group 1 wins was aboard BATEEL in the 2017 Prix Vermeille. His most successful association was with the Andre Fabre trained ESOTERIQUE which he partnered to win the 2014 Prix Rothschild, the 2015 Jacques le Marois and the 2015 Sun Chariot Stakes.
