G1 – 1600m – Turf
| Flying Jess | Strong finisher who’s been runner-up at past two this distance. Ran 0.4 lengths 2nd to I Am A Star in G2 Stocks Stakes before 0.2 lengths 2nd to Quilate in G3 Vase at Caulfield on 18 October. Majority of racing has been on good ground. Chance if pace and pattern suits back markers. |
| Global Glamour | Crossed from barrier 13 to sit outside lead when nose winner from Cool Passion in G2 Tristarc Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on 21 October which was first run since April. Unbeaten in two runs at 1600m; likes to lead and handles all track conditions. |
| Foxplay | Satisfactory effort when 2 lengths 7th to Global Glamour in G2 Tristarc Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on 21 October. Bigger track here likely to suit as would some give in the ground. Capable all conditions but excels on soft. Can be ridden forward or back. |
| I Am A Star | Secured easy lead when 0.4 lengths winner from Flying Jess in G2 Stocks Stakes (1600m) at Moonee Valley on 29 September. Then pulled up lame after 12.4 lengths last of 18 behind Tosen Stardom in G1 Toorak Handicap (1600m) at Caulfield on 14 October. Won this race last year, as a three-year-old with pull in weights. Generally races handy. Best form on good ground. |
| Silent Sedition | Caught wide from barrier 14 when 1.3 lengths 5th to Global Glamour in G2 Tristarc Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on 21 October. Quality mare yet to win at 1600m but was just 1.2 lengths off Foxplay at the distance at G1 level earlier this year. Likely to sit just behind the speed from good draw. Capable all conditions. |
| Heavens Above | Ran 8.1 lengths 6th to champion mare Winx in G1 George Main Stakes (1600m) at Randwick on 16 September. Then dropped back to 1200m when 2.4 lengths 6th to White Moss in G3 Nivison Stakes at Randwick on 21 October. Did beat Silent Sedition and Danish Twist in G1 Coolmore Classic (1500m) earlier this year. Strong finisher capable on good and soft ground. |
| Danish Twist | Settled back and held ground when 3.3 lengths 9th to Ulmann in G3 Moonga Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on 21 October. That followed 1.4 lengths 4th to Daysee Doom and Dixie Blossoms in G2 Golden Pendant (1400m) at Rosehill 23 September. Usually ridden off speed and handles all conditions. Not won at 1600m but beaten only 1.5 lengths in this race last year. |
| Dixie Blossoms | Strong 0.8 lengths winner from Daysee Doom in G3 Angst Stakes (1600m) at Randwick on 7 October before dropping back to 1200m when 2.2 lengths 4th to White Moss in G3 Nivison Stakes on 21 October. Good record this distance. Can be ridden forward or back and handles all conditions although four of five wins have been on good ground. Fourth this race last year. |
| Daysee Doom | Sound effort when 0.8 lengths 2nd to Dixie Blossoms in G3 Angst Stakes (1600m) at Randwick on 7 October. Then switched back in trip to finish 2.3 lengths 5th to White Moss in G3 Nivison Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on 21 October. Generally races handy but drawn wide. Capable wet or dry. |
| Prompt Response | Sound effort when 0.3 lengths 3rd to Quilate in G3 Vase (1600m) at Caulfield on 18 October at first attempt this distance. This is harder but overall form is sound. Generally races handy and capable of performing well wet or dry. |
| French Emotion | Runner-up in this race last year although lead-up form was then arguably better. Track pattern was against last Saturday when 5.45 lengths 7th to Lubiton in G3 Tesio Stakes (1600m) at Moonee Valley and that was only second start since June. Capable wet or dry and usually ridden back in the field. |
| Sword Of Light | Did not show usual speed and tightened for room late when 3.1 lengths 10th to Global Glamour in G2 Tristarc Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on 21 October. G2 winner at 1400m this track, three starts ago when on speed. Generally races on speed. Twice a winner this distance but in weaker grade. OK good or soft ground. |
| Eckstein | Had little luck in recent runs including when 2.3 lengths 6th to Ulmann in G3 Moonga Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on 21 October. This is first run beyond 1400 metres. Generally races handy to speed and capable all conditions but note past three wins have been on soft ground. |
| Now Or Later | Scored strong finishing 0.4 lengths win from Merriest in G2 Blazer Stakes (1400m) at this track before 3.8 lengths 11th to Global Glamour in G2 Tristarc Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on 21 October. Blocked for clear run in straight last time. Big track suits. Strong finisher who can also be ridden handy and no worries with track conditions. |
| Cool Passion | Enjoyed run of race when nose 2nd to Global Glamour in G2 Tristarc Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on 21 October. Harder here from gate 17 but has performed well each run for new stable. This is first run beyond 1400m. Best form on good ground. Can be ridden forward or back. |
| Shoals | 3YO filly looking to emulate I Am A Star who won this race, at three, last year. Sound effort when 1.25 lengths 2nd to subsequent winner Aloisia in G1 Thousand Guineas (1600m) at Caulfield on 14 October. Likely to race handy to speed. Three wins on dry and one win at only start on affected ground which was rated heavy. |

| Oregon’s Day | Has to improve but has had little luck in recent runs. Caught wide and race pattern against when 5.6 lengths 8th to Lubiton in G3 Tesio Stakes (1600m) at Moonee Valley last Saturday. Strong finisher at best on dry tracks. |
| Payroll | Ran on strongly when 1.1 lengths 3rd to Now Or Later in G2 Blazer Stakes (1400m) at this track on 7 October. Has since won barrier trial on 23 October. Strong finisher who handles all conditions and has good record this distance. |
| Shillelagh | Eye catching effort when 0.8 lengths 3rd to Global Glamour in G2 Tristarc Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on 21 October. Strong finisher who races best left handed. Runner-up at only previous 1600m run. Capable wet or dry. |
