G1 – 1600m – Turf
Simeen | A runaway two-year-old winner at Saint-Cloud. She showed plenty of fire and commitment – under hand riding – to win over this distance at Chantilly in May. The stable have been in hot form. |
Tropbeau | Started favourite when moving up to this distance for her 2020 return in a G3 trial for this G1 at Longchamp. Success didn’t look likely the whole way but she was quite well on top at the wire. She looks tough and is a big player. |
Tickle Me Green |
Only won once when German-trained last season but looked to have progressed on her first start for Andre Fabre when a close 3rd to stablemate Tropbeau in a G3 Pouliches trial at Longchamp. |
Marieta | Without a run this season but clearly has some class, finishing runner-up in G2 and G1 company on her last two 2019 starts. Latterly she had attempted to lead throughout at Longchamp. No worries with this trip. |
Mageva | Her only win came in a maiden here at Deauville on her debut. She has performed decently in stronger company including when taking on some smart colts in a Listed event on her return at Longchamp in May and only just getting beaten. |
Desobeissance | It would be unusual for a filly with as little experience as her to win a G1 like this. However she did show smart acceleration to win a 1600m maiden on the round course here in May, her second start. |
Dream And Do | Won her last three starts at two including a 1400m G3. In May she returned with a close 2nd to Tropbeau in the G3 trial for this at Longchamp, making sharp headway in the final 400m and galloping on all the way to the line. |
Yomogi | She has yet to win in ten starts and though she ran better than her odds might have suggested at Longchamp in May she is exceptionally hard to fancy in terms of both class and this trip. |
My Love’s Passion | Has plenty of early pace and led her side of the track in a 1200m G3 at Chantilly in May. She may again lead here but the evidence suggests that she will run out of gas over this distance and in G1 company. |
Speak Of The Devil | Her two starts have been on muddy ground, winning a maiden over the round 1600m here last October and then running a decent 2nd in quite a strong conditions event in May. But she’ll need to do more here. |
Emoji | A decisive Listed race winner over this trip at Saint-Cloud on her 2020 return. She was then stepped up to 1800m, running a decent 2nd in that Longchamp G3. She apparently prefers soft rather than fast ground. |
Ellerslie Lace | Did make some significant mid-race progress when 4th to Tropbeau in a G3 over this distance at Longchamp in May. She seemed to thrive on the very slow ground there. Very hard to fancy with likely quicker conditions here. |
