2,000 Guineas Stakes Day from Britain (Sat, 6 June – 1st race starts at 8:15pm)

Seven races from the 2,000 Guineas Day meeting to be held at Newmarket Racecourse in England will be simulcast for betting from late evening on Saturday, 6 June.

The English Classic season kick starts with the running of the 2,000 Guineas which has been rescheduled from its original date in May owing to the coronavirus outbreak. Since its inception in 1809, the G1 2,000 Guineas (1600m) has long been established as a premier event for the 3yo generation. It is the opening leg of the illustrious English Triple Crown, and for more than two centuries some of the sport’s finest horses have sought Classic glory over the famous Rowley Mile.

Last year’s European Champion 2yo PINATUBO is set to make his much awaited return in the Guineas. The exciting colt is the highest rated juvenile in 25 years, some way ahead of his rivals in Saturday’s contest.

The seven simulcast races are:

S1-1 8:15 PM 4yo+ 86-105 Handicap
S1-2 8:50 PM Palace House Stakes
S1-3 9:25 PM Dahlia Fillies’ Stakes
S1-4 10:00 PM Newmarket Stakes
S1-5 10:35 PM 2,000 Guineas Stakes
S1-6 11:10 PM 4yo+ 71-90 Handicap
S1-7 11:45 PM 4yo+ 86-105 Handicap

Final declarations with barrier draws for the 2,000 Guineas Day races will be available on the morning of Friday, 5 June.

Yasuda Kinen from Japan (Sun, 7 June – 2:40pm – S2-1)

On Sunday, 7 June, the G1 Yasuda Kinen (1600m) will be simulcast live from Tokyo Racecourse during the Sha Tin races.

The Yasuda Kinen (for 3yo and upwards), now in its 70th running, is a race to determine the best miler of the spring season in Japan. Superstar mare ALMOND EYE will head to this race as a strong favourite after a hugely impressive triumph in the G1 Victoria Mile over the course and distance.

Final declarations with barrier draws for the Yasuda Kinen will be available on Friday, 5 June.
