Fukusan Dark | Broke maiden over 1400m at the NAR track of Urawa in May. Finished in top four in all four runs before that, including two 3rds and a 4th at the course and distance. Posted 4-5 in last 2 starts, both racing to left. Decent speed. Could surprise. |
Glorious Hope | Has finished in top three in 3 of 10 career starts. Twice ran over course and distance previously, best a 4th when raced on speed this class on 14 September. Average speed. Not promising. |
Keiser’s Kroon | Been given mix of dirt and turf. Best results on turf but failed to make top three in last 6 starts. Best run of 2 starts on dirt being a 4th over Nakayama 1800m in March. Finished 9th at Niigata last out in August, his first race in nearly 5 months. Not promising. |
La La Roi | Big gelding with 4 wins from the NAR track of Monbetsu. Moved back to JRA in April and has been raced only to left in 6 starts since, mostly sprints without success. Given mile and settled well to finish 6th last out on 26 October. Decent speed. Extra distance could help. |
Rorqual Rouge | Has best a 4th in 5 starts since debut win over 1700m on dirt. Finished 5th in Nakayama 1800m in January, then raced over left-handed Tokyo track in next three starts, including 8th last out on 24 November. Good speed. Could surprise. |
Salvete | Raced on turf for first 8 starts. Moved to dirt last out. Went to gate weight up 18kg from previous start a month before. Raced in second position and finished 13th of 16 over Nakayama 1800m. Speed average. Not promising. |
Sammaru Baron | Gelding has failed to win since June 2015. Only 4 other starts in money in 37 outings. Likely not a contender. |
Seika Yamano | Broke maiden on dirt mile last October, before 2nd in Nakayama 1800m two starts later. Since only posted 1 second from 12 starts. Fair 5th at left-handed Chukyo 1800m last out on 7 December. Races from far off pace. Decent speed. Could surprise. |
Wonder Mambo | Has 7 finishes in top three from 10 starts. Raced all but once to left. Finished 3rd in debut over Nakayama 1800m. Returned from 3 months off to post 5-4 over mile and 1800m last two runs. Speed average but could surprise with change to Nakayama. Still has weight advantage at 115lb assigned. |
Yo Quiero Mambo | Won debut over Tokyo 1400m in April 2016 and has only 5 other finishes in top three in 31 starts since, including 2nd over Tokyo mile last out on 24 November. Raced all but once over left-handed tracks. Returning to clockwise track for first time in 3 years. Can show good speed. Runs from far off pace. Wild card. |
Yukino Wurde | Broke maiden over Nakayama 1800m this January. Best a 5th in Niigata 1800m in 4 starts since. Returned last out after 5 months to run 8th in Tokyo mile. Improvement expected. Return to Nakayama a plus. |
