Track Work - The FWD Champions Day 2026

1.      The FWD QEII Cup, FWD Champions Mile and Chairman’s Sprint Prize Track Work Timetable
The attached track work schedule will become effective from Saturday, 18 April to Sunday, 26 April 2026.

2.      All Weather Track
(1)          The track opens 4:45am for local horses.
(2)          The large and small track close for harrowing at 6:15am.
(3)          The large and small track close at 8:15am.
(4)          The bridle path and the trotting rings close at 8:15am.
(5)          The Riverside Gallop, Olympics Equine Pool, Trotting Rings and Treadmill Stations close at 8:15am except on 21 and 24 April.
(6)          Barrier trials (21 and 24 April) on the All Weather Track commence at 8.00am (gate closes at 7:40am). Only 1200M trials will be offered and the trials will be limited to 3 batches on 24 April.
(7)          Thursday stalls tests (23 April) will be held at 7:15am.
(8)          1800M Jump-outs open between 7:00am and 8:15am on Monday, 20 April. 1800M Jump-outs open between 7:00am and 8:15am on Thursday, 23 April, restricted to horses entered for Sunday, 26 April race meeting, and FWD QEII Cup, FWD Champions Mile and Chairman’s Sprint Prize runners (quota not included).
(9)          RTTC horses will not be admitted for turf works at the 1800M Jump-outs on 20 and 23 April.
(10)      Afternoon gate practice and education inside the trotting ring paddock will not be available on Friday, 24 April.

3.      Turf Gallops
(1)          Local horses competing in the FWD QEII Cup, FWD Champions Mile and Chairman’s Sprint Prize can gallop twice on the turf track accompanied by one additional horse from Wednesday, 15 April to Saturday, 25 April inclusive. The turf track will be opened between 6:00am and 7:00am, booking is required.
(2)          Overseas horses can gallop twice on the turf, from Saturday, 18 April to Saturday, 25 April, upon completion of local horses work.
