The Hong Kong Jockey Club announced today, 29 April 2024, that Mr Troy Vassallo has been appointed to the position of Stipendiary Steward.

Mr Vassallo, has over 15 years’ experience as a Stipendiary Steward where his career commenced with Racing NSW in Sydney Australia.  He was appointed as a Senior Stipendiary Steward with Racing NSW in 2016 and more recently has held the position of Chief Stipendiary Steward with the NSW Greyhound Welfare and Integrity Commission. 

Mr Vassallo will assume his new post with The Hong Kong Jockey Club at the commencement of the 2024/25 racing season.  He will replace Mr Gerard Bush, who will leave the Club at the conclusion of the current racing season to take up a role with Racing and Wagering Western Australia.
